We all need a little bit of extra motivation every once in awhile. Whether you’re trying to start a new career, take a journey to better health and fitness, or you’re just trying to build a better life for yourself, we all come across speed bumps and need a little extra push to overcome the hardships.
Day 1: Discover Your Path
What do you want in life? Are you on the right path? Are you doing things with your life that you truly enjoy or are you just passing by? Take a step back and look at yourself. Are you happy? Do you want more? If you’re not at the place you want to be, then what can you do to get there? Develop a clear vision for your future and take action today to put yourself on that path!
Day 2: Develop Positive Habits
Create an exercise routine. Start eating healthier. Practice kindness with everyone you see. Start establishing good habits and work at them every day! Get yourself into a good routine and stick to it. The most successful people are those with routines.
Day 3: Be Grateful
You might not have everything you want in life. You might be struggling in many ways and wrestling many demons, but don’t let those negative things get you down! Be grateful and accept your blessings! Use them to empower yourself and lift yourself up! Do you have a beautiful, healthy family? Are you in love? What are the blessings in your life? Focus on one or all of your blessings and use them as inspiration and motivation.
Day 4: Remember that You are Not Alone
You are not alone in this life. There are so many people on this earth and everyone struggles. We all feel pain. We all face adversity. We are all human! There are hundreds of thousands of people in this world and tens of millions of those who have come before us. It can be easy to feel lonely, but being lonely doesn’t mean that you’re alone because you aren’t! Don’t forget that!
Day 5: Don’t Compare Yourself to Others
It can be easy to look at someone else and wonder how they are able to accomplish certain things that you haven’t done yet. It’s easy to be envious of others, but you should never compare yourself to other people because we are all different, special and unique in our own ways! Stay true to yourself. Be original and stop looking at other people. It’s okay to look to others for inspiration or guidance, but don’t compare yourself to them or try to be like them. Be you! There is nobody in this entire world who is better at being you than you!
Day 6: Focus on Your Goals
Don’t lose sight of your goals. If you have to, take a step back and reassess your vision. Are you still headed on the right path? Are you feeling good about where you’re going? If not, then change your vision to reflect what you need and want and stay focused on that.
Day 7: Take Action
Keep pushing forward! Don’t give up yet! It’s hard to keep going, but at the end of the day, quitting is much harder. The feeling you’ll get once you reach your goals is more rewarding and refreshing than the temporary feeling you’ll get when you stop. Keep taking action and keep on going!
Day 8: Keep Looking Forward
Don’t look behind you. Stay focused on the things ahead of you. Life is like a marathon, not a sprint. It takes time to accomplish the things you set your sights on, but you can’t accomplish them if you take your eyes off the prize.
Day 9: Believe in Yourself
You can do anything you set your mind to! You’ve already come so far and that proves that you can do it, so you need to keep believing in yourself. Believe that you have the power and the strength to keep going, because if you didn’t, you wouldn’t be where you’re at right now.
Day 10: Celebrate the Little Things
Revel in the small victories and the little things that you’ve accomplished. Have you lost 5 pounds on your journey to losing 30 pounds? Celebrate that! Did you get an interview after applying to 50 jobs? Celebrate. Did you write something after a week of writers block? The small things are just as important as the big things and we should all be celebrating those little things because those too are big accomplishments.
