Here are 10 Girl Boss habits you need to adopt now!
1: Establish a Morning Routine
Consistency is key! That’s why establishing a morning routine is very important. It makes it easier to get through the day because you already know how your day is going to turn out. Whether you’re an early bird (like myself) or you like to sleep in a little later, get yourself on a good schedule and stick to it!
If you’re waking up at different times every morning and you do something different every day, it can make things chaotic because you never know what to expect, and in turn you’ll have a lot more stress. The most successful people are those of habit!

2: Plan in Advance
Write your to-do lists the night before so you already know what needs to be accomplished. Plan out your day, your content, and anything else that can be prepped in advance. It makes life a whole lot easier when you have a set list on the things that need to get done, rather than stressing about things last minute. And I promise, when you accomplish something well before your deadline, it feels amazing (and you have more free time!).
3: Set Goals
Setting realistic goals for yourself is very important. It makes it possible for you to accomplish a lot of things, and it feels incredible when you achieve the goals you set for yourself. Personally, achieving my goals only makes me more determined to keep pushing forward.
Meditation helps you focus, it helps you relax, and it’s important because it helps to realign ourselves with the path we’re supposed to be on. If you ever find yourself stuck in a rut, take some time to meditate and figure out if you’re still on the same path you set out on. If you’re not, then you need to make some changes to get back onto the right path.
5: Drink More Water
I can’t believe that in 2018 I still have to tell people to drink more water. Staying hydrated is not only helpful to our productivity, but it’s essential for our survival.
Have you ever noticed how your body feels when you’re dehydrated and haven’t had enough water? It’s so so so important to get enough hydration, whether it’s from plain water, tea, or even fruit-infused water.
6: Create a Budget
I still have a hard time sticking to this one! Stop spending senselessly and stick to a money plan! When you’re just starting out, expenses are much higher than profit, so when you budget your money, it’s easy to see where the cash flow absolutely needs to go, and where you can afford to save. (No more $4 lattes!)
7: Get Exercise Daily
Exercising daily is for everyone, but especially us Lady Bosses because the majority of the time we’re stuck at home. It can be so tempting to sit in bed or on the couch all day cranking out post after post with no other ambition, but getting proper exercise is very important for those of us WAH women whose jobs don’t require them to move around a lot. Exercise is great anyway, so get your butt up and get moving!
8: Organize and De-Clutter your Space
I don’t know about you, but I feel so much more inspired when my work space is clean and organized. When it’s messy and cluttered it’s hard for me to focus and sometimes it even hinders my ability to write or design. A clean, organized, clutter-free space is all I need to stay focused on the task at hand so I can create amazing content for my readers!
9: Listen to Podcasts
Some people listen to music, but I LOVE listening to podcasts. I get so much inspiration from Podcasts and a lot of my knowledge about blogging and business actually came from listening to podcasters such as the incredible Jenna Kutcher, or the husband/wife duo at The Skinny Confidential. 10: Get Your Beauty Rest
You can prep, plan, work it out, and do whatever else you have to in order to be a Girl Boss, but at the end of the day it all comes down to beauty rest. If you’re not getting enough sleep, it can harm your body and even cause a wide range of health problems. Not to mention, going about your day in zombie mode is only going to make it that much harder for you to get all the work done that you need to. If you’re tired and cranky, you’re not showing up as the best version of yourself, and your work might also reflect that.
